The Cardigans frontwoman Nina Persson has released a brand new album “Tank Om” for a swedish movie with 13 short songs that makes this album to just 19 minutes, but the songs are really beautiful anyway.
Yesterday ex-frontwoman of the swedish band The Cardigans released her solo-cd “Animal Heart”. It is not her first solo CD, actually it is her third, but the other ones where under het pseudonym “A Camp” and this one is also the first on the Independent British record label Lojinx Records.
Last month she already released the title track on single and the other eleven tracks are having the same melodic electronic mixed with a simple sound of only an piano (“this is Heavy Metal”, title suggest it is not)s ongs that really has the atmosphere we all know from The Cardigans.
In case you think The Cardigans were over, that is not the case. For 6 years they had a big break to concentrate on solo activities and then united in 2012 and are still doing some things, like doing some gigs throughout Europe, but no music releases after the 2006 single “Don’t Blame Your Daughter (Diamonds)”.
Nina Persson will perform 26th of February in Bitterzoet, Amsterdam.
