After some tragic American Idol deaths, Swedish Idol got their bad news today. TV4 confirmed today that Former Idol-participant Tristan Björling died.
We feel deeply with Tristan’s relatives. They have expressed the wish that the family be left alone in their grief, and we will do everything we can to support them. We are also there for our Idol participants and will give them all the support they need, says Pelle Porseryd, executive producer of Idol.
Tristan Björling was one of the twenty Idol Participants in fierce competition made it to the qualifying week in Stockholm in September this year.
I am stunned and incredibly sad, it’s so terribly tragic when such a talented young person leaving us. Tristan had a talent that affected the whole of Sweden, he lives on in our hearts, says Anders Bagge, jurymember of the show. fellow jurymember Alexander Bard says on Twitter “Our dear Tristan has died. We are all devastated. Please respect wishes of family and friends for privacy”.

Myself and the entire editorial team is in shock. Needless to say, is now our thoughts to Tristan’s family. It is always a great sorrow when a person leaves us, and even more difficult it becomes when someone makes it far too early. Tristan was an amazing person whose energy and joy greatly impressed me. He will be missed by many.
